Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

My name is Joanna and I started blogging in 2012 as a way to keep track of the lessons I was learning as a new wife and teacher. With family and friends sprinkled in every corner of the US, I also felt that this space would be a great way to keep everyone updated on our life in Dallas, TX. I have a wonderfully bearded husband named Eric, a sweet little girl named Madeline and a freckle-bellied, kale eating dog named Kaylee. When we are not out and about in Dallas you might be able to find us in our beloved New Orleans, the city my husband grew up in and where we were married. Because of our love for the culture and food of this wonderful city I felt it appropriate to name this space after my favorite fried doughnut establishment, Cafe du Monde.

This blog is my space to share about  food, family, &  my faith. I want nothing more than to enjoy every bite of this wonderful life we have been blessed with. I love cooking and exploring new eats and drinks to share with the people I love. I love having a good time with good friends and find that often times those great moments are accompanied by good food.
